Advanced Web Ranking
It has been a while since I last blogged and quite a bit has happened to me since then. Briefly I have left Stew Art Media and I have taken up a contract with NMIT as the Online Coordinator. I will maybe delve more deeply into the reasons behind this decision at a later time but rather now I would like to walk you through the proccess of establishing an SEO strategy at NMIT, specifically setting up the reporting tools.
The two main pieces of software I am purchasing will be Market Samurai and Advanced Web Ranking. Market Samurai because I love the ease it provides for doing keyword analysis and Advanced Web Ranking specifically for tracking the ranking result.
This blog piece will review the process so far in installing Advanced Web Ranking other blogs will focus on other steps in the process.
At Stew Art Media we used Advanced Web Ranking for tracking all of our clients ranking results, we also used its extensive comparison tools to give our clients the edge over their competition. It was fantastic on more than one occasion we were able to determine why our client's competitor was beating them and implement plans to combat this. Even better, in highly competitive spaces, where Adwords clicks ranged upwards of $40 per click using the "top sites" tab we were able to simultaneously track the ranking performance of the all the top ten(or more) competitors and get an early warning when a competitor was becoming more active with their SEO campaign. On more than one occasion we were able to preempt a drop and act prior to any damage being done.
Advanced Web Ranking emailed daily SEO reports were read by the SEO consultants providing a day by day status update on their clients progress. Staff would use the tools to "look back" a see when changes took place and compare them to records of on and off site changes were made. Being able to view ranking results as graphs and see rankings rise was also a great motivator for staff. Clients loved their weekly email SEO reports, informing them of their campaign. Setting these up was easy and explaining the email to less tech saavy clients was a breeze. Below is an example of one of the reports with the sensitive details removed
. Three Easy to read emails later I had my serial number, recipt and all the details I needed. As I said finding the downloads for Windows, linux and Mac was easy and I look forward to having the software installed on my PC at work.
